This image was taken at Burnidge Forest Preserve in Elgin IL. I walked around this area waiting for a moment until the moon placed itself above one of the tallest trees in this location. The contrast between the giant tree and the winter sky colors makes this scene very different compared to the daytime landscapes I'd normally shoot.
